If I have to describe the overall characteristic of the AP80 PRO-X, its lean, analytical, but gentle.ĭetail Retrieval is pretty good for its price, it is not lacking in basic detail and layering, though I do notice treble layering / highlight / saturation is a bit simplified compared to a more expensive device (nitpick) If you have used to a more musical / colored bass - lower midrange with emphasize on weight, the AP80PRO-X might sound a bit lean to your ears.Īs for the upper midrange - treble, it sounds open but a bit dry and lean, treble is well extended without sounding harsh ![]() Pure DAP mode it last around 12 hours using single ended 3.5mm.Ĭharging time is about 1 hour using 5V2A charger (Hidizs not recommending use of charger more than 5V 2A)īass - lower midrange presented in a sterile uncolored way, it sounds precise, has fast slam and transient. Sadly the AP80 PRO-X still uses a 2.5mm port rather than a 4.4mm one.īack side of the DAP is the same glass back like the AP80 OG with X pattern on it and a film protector preinstalled from the factory.Īs a bluetooth receiver mode, it last around 7.5 hours using balanced 2.5mm. Left side of the DAP has a Micro SD slot that is very hard to insert the card in.īottom side of the DAP has a 2.5mm balanced port, USB-C port and 3.5mm single ended port. Right side of the DAP there is volume wheel that act as on-off and lock button, there are also rewind - play/pause - forward control Pretty much identical to the AP80 OG with X on its volume wheel and X pattern on the back glass.įront of the DAP probably has the same Samsung Screen that AP80 OG use back in the day, also it has a screen protector preinstalled from the factory that I accidentally remove when I received this DAP.
